The META Second Annual Conference & Unified Auditions are scheduled for April 28th-29th at Meadow Brook Theatre on the campus of Oakland University in Rochester. This conference offers career enhancement and workforce development opportunities to Michigan's professional performers. These performers are a major part of the workforce that contributes an annual $553 million to Michigan's economy. It is META's mission to provide opportunities for advancement and enrichment in order to keep Michigan theatre artists in Michigan.

The Michigan Shakespeare Festival (MSF) has become the seventh theatre to join the Michigan Equity Theatre Alliance (META). META is happy to welcome another theatre to their consortium dedicated to building awareness, appreciation and support for the region's professional, non-profit theatre community.

Fastest selling “pay-what-you-can” show leaves many on the wait list!
Ann Arbor, MI - Due to the immense popularity for Performance Network’s upcoming production of “Ain’t Misbehavin’ - the Fats Waller Musical,” the theatre’s administration has made the decision to convert the preview Saturday performance on November 12 at 8pm into “pay-what-you-can.” This change will accommodate patrons who were placed on the waiting list for the sold-out first preview performance, as well as others hoping to see this Tony Award-winning musical at a reduced rate.

Plowshares Theatre Company will hold the final round of it open auditions for the 2011/12 Season during this week. The two shows are Lynn Nottage’s bittersweet story Ruined and Gem of the Ocean by August Wilson.

Ann Arbor, MI - Due to great responses from both critics and audiences, Performance Network Theatre will extend its production of the romantic historical fiction “Marie Antoinette: The Color of Flesh” by Joel Gross. This production will now run through September 4.
